CLIMATE:

Summer season: The summer season is from the month of March to May. The temperature ranges between a maximum of 36°C and a minimum of 26°C. You might find the days on the hotter side but during the evening, the climate here is quite pleasant.

 

Monsoon season: The region welcomes the monsoon season in the month of June and it lasts till September. During this period, the region experiences heavy rain fall. Landslides occur in the monsoon season. Therefore, it is advisable to avoid the place especially in the months of July and August when Thekkady faces extremely heavy rain.

 

Winter season: This superb region of Kerala offers a cool and comfortable winter. During this period, the minimum and maximum temperature ranges between 15°C and 21°C respectively. It begins from the month of October and the temperature remains cool till the month.
